Clare Biodiversity
Clare County Councils Biodiversity Department commissioned me to build a multimedia website that would be both a data recorder for scientists out in the field & as an educational tool for local schools. This was a fun project to design & build, allowing me great creative scope.
The interface is a series of ‘screens’ lying over each other, to which I included local biodiversity graphical elements which changed with every page refresh, making it engaging for children & adults alike. The site also featured a multimedia gallery built in flash, which allowed film, audio & image galleries on different subjects to be shown with even background audio of bird-song!
Clare Biodiversity research has now been absorbed into the national Irish site, unfortunately, but this still remains a project with fond memories.
